Celebrating 40 Years Of St Dympna's Church

There was a special Mass on Sunday last celebrating St Dympna's Church 40th anniversary in Lower Lavey. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Martin Hayes and he was also joined by priests who previously ministered in the Parish. Well done to the pastoral council and everyone involved in marking this special occasion.

Register of Electors Office

Cavan County Council Register of Electors Office is holding a ‘Walk-in Clinic’ on Thursday 17 October (10am-8pm) and Saturday 19 October (10am-2pm) at Johnston Central Library, Farnham Street, Cavan H12C9K1. On the day individuals residing in County Cavan can register to vote and confirm/update their details. If you are unsure about your details at the moment, these can be checked online on Check the register.

Radio Maria Ireland

The station can be reached on SAORVIEW Channel 210 on any T.V. Each Monday morning there are reflections with Fr Johnnie Cusack, Lavey from 9.35 am to 10am.

Race night

The Lavey Ladies annual race night returns to the Lavey Inn this October bank holiday weekend. It will take place on Saturday 26th and doors will open at 8.30pm for racing to begin at 9pm. Everyone is welcome.

GAA & LGFA

Hard luck to Senior men who lost out to Laragh last week in the senior championship relegation play-off. Focus will now turn to the reserve championship, where they had a good win over Denn last weekend. The U13 lads also had a great win over Ballinagh on Saturday.
Hard luck to the ladies who lost out to Belturbet-Redhills in the Division 2 Relegation Playoff on Sunday last. Well done to the U 14 girls on their victory over Belturbet-Redhills on Sunday.
